Chemical erosion can cause bunds to lose their resistance to contain constant drips and spillages, accidental wall damage, deficient floor joints etc. Leakage of the bund can allow spillages to access the secondary containment area.

Acid Resistant Bund Linings

Government legislation was implemented in 2005 for all bunds which contain oil storage vessels. Regulations state that the secondary containment area should be impervious to oil and water, should the contents of the primary vessels be breached.

Chemical Resistant Linings
